The author's goal in writing this novel was to showcase all of our government's faults, mainly by knocking President Bush off of his stolen pedestal, and showing us all the cons of the media, from "recycling" to stereotyping African Americans as criminals. He slams a lot of politicians that committed political suicide without being noticed, and turns a spotlight on all the crooks and crazies in the three branches of government.
His main topics of muckraking are President Bush and the Florida voting machine scandal, the wars in various countries perpetrated or flamed by the U.S. government, the controversies of conservative people and stem cell research, environmental issues spurned and ignored by the U.S., and more ridiculous issues that show what basket cases run our government.
In other words, Michael Moore, the author, raked up a ton of dirt on stupid white men and other sorry excuses for the state of the nation!
